“We believe that India is an exciting market for luxury goods, with great long term growth prospects. The combination of the Burberry brand and management team, our strong product designs and the local expertise of our partners, will enable us to become one of the leading luxury brands in this under-penetrated market.” Angela Ahrendts, CEO of Burberry

Right now there are only two other existing Burberry stores in India - Emporio Mall in Delhi and UB City Mall in Bangalore. Burberry, which is headquartered in London and a member of the FTSE100, was founded in 1856.

I will be talking about their Spring 2011 Pre-collection in my next post, and though their shoes might not be  heavenly, their over coats and pants are a dream!
So if you are in either of these cities or just passing through, be sure to give these stores a look!

  1. Why do i feel they only put in all their last season's old stock in Indian Boutiques!
Not their fault, we are a season behind!
    But it's sad.
