What To Wear - This Spring!

For the spring summer seasons of 2011 shoe trends are an interesting selection of trends that dominated in 2010 as well as new and exciting ideas that come in a slightly different approach from what we might be used to. Discover some of the most important shoe trends of the following season.

Alexander Wang                                                                      Christian Dior
If some of the latest trends are merely an a reinterpretation of last summer's main trends, offering you the chance to make the most of your investments for this year, others offer you the opportunity to perk up your style and try out a variety of different styles you might not be used to. Here are a few fashion trends that you might want to consider for updating your wardrobe:

In we are to analyze some of the most important runways when it comes to shoes a common tendency can be noticed when it comes to details. In spring summer 2011 we will most likely see a lot of strappy shoes in a variety of different forms. A interesting and highly creative idea can be found in the collections of some of the most famous designers like Diane von Furstenberg , Alexander Wang or Christian Dior. In these collections straps are a little more creative than usual. Instead of the traditional straps, shoe laces are used for a more interesting and original effect.

Altuzarra                                                                                             Philip Lim
Angelo Marani                                                                                               Erdem
Aquilano E Rimondi                                                                                              Donna Karan
Another interesting style suggestion is an unusual type of shoe: flatforms. A smart combination between wedges and flats can be the ultimate style solution for those who want to look stylish at all times but not lose their comfort in the process, which is often the case with many stylish shoes.

By creating an overall uniform height comfort automatically increases while giving you the overall height you aim for. For more ideas on how to wear this type of trend checking out collections like Michael Kors, Phillip Lim or Band of Outsiders is a definitely a wise idea.

Band of Outsiders                                                                                         Donna Karan
Blu Girl                                                                                               Chrisitian Dior
Considering the fact that warmer seasons are generally synonym with fun and colorful prints it is only natural to see extensions of this trend as well for footwear. Printed shoes are generally a good idea if we want to add a pop of color to our outfits yet we are not willing to opt for something extremely dramatic. From already classic prints such as exotic skin prints like the ones on Altuzarra runway to more eclectic types of prints, these types of shoes can be a great addition to your wardrobe.
Moschino Custo                                                                                        Barcelona

Louboutin Love - Chic this Summer

We are Louboutin-ians and proud of it !
Christian Louboutin is most definitely one shoe designer who managed to transpose the dream shoes of us women into reality, and this can be proofed of course by taking a glimpse at the shoe designs created by Louboutin over time.

CL's spring 2011 collection is to die for, I would.
Here's a peek at some of the stellar shoes from the line, pick a favorite and determine your style!

The trademark red sole completes the look of his shoes and Christian Louboutin  shoes for spring summer 2011 can emphasize this statement as they are highly diverse and they all look fabulous.

The red sole seems to suit absolutely any shoe color and this makes the shoes stand out. No wonder JLo wrote a song about these diving shoes. Combining comfort with style seems to be Louboutin's mantra and he's doing an excellent job of sticking to it!

One of the shoe styles which manages to stand out is the platform shoe style which looks adorable and which is highly popular and suitable this spring-summer 2011 season. It seems that vintage styles have made a huge comeback and these shoes are meant to complete the look of any vintage style outfit.

The platform offers great benefits when it comes to posture, comfort as well as look, so no wonder they have maintained their popularity. Louboutin's platform shoes look fabulous, elegant and underline a vintage style through color.

High heeled ankle booties seem to be highly popular designs as well as they look amazing and offer the leg a great amount of support.

These ankle length shoes can be worn with skirts, shorts, as well as skinny pants so they are highly versatile. The colors Christian Louboutin opted for are navy jeans, electric blue suede, green, as well as a multi toned ankle strap shoe.

Then there's the classics.

Dior's doing tie ups and boots for SS 2011

The shoes featured so far in fashion weeks this season have been uninspired, uninteresting, unoriginal. While there is nothing new under the sun, John Galliano’s collection for Christian Dior featured,  fun, colorful and reasonably interesting shoes.
I have read criticism that these shoes are too subdued for John Galliano, and that the collection isn’t really a Dior Girl’s collection. I am not sure who the  Dior Girl is and what she is supposed to wear, but subdued isn’t the term I would use for this collection.  It would be nice to get an upclose and personal look at these to see how they are made..

Flavour Of The Week - Nike's Got It Down!

SneakerFreaker's back and talking bout NIKE - Lessons in Sneakers.

                                         AIR MAX CB34

This Godzilla of a shoe packs plenty of chunk in the trunk, with the rippling waves of the upper breaking up the bulk. This is audacious 90s basketball design at its best. Look out for them to hit stores in December. This shoe reminds me of the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air and Kenan n Kel ... yea ... OLD SCHOOL BABY!

                                                         AIR JORDAN III

HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS...The Jordan III is back baby! Perhaps the most iconic of all the Jordan silhouettes, the III returns in the classic White/Cement colourway with the signature crackle attack on the heel and toe. Said to be MJ's own personal favourite, these are set to be a surefire sellout.

                              NIKE LEBRON VIII

With all the fan fury surrounding LeBron's move to Miami, the new LeBron VIII would always prove a tough sell at first, especially given the popularity of the VII.Backlash aside, the real test of opinion was going to come on the heels of the first hot colourways. And yes ... the new Lebron 7 is BETTER THAN SEX !! =D

till next time!
chao!
